Cookie Policy

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small file, typically of letters and numbers, downloaded onto a device when the user accesses certain websites. Cookies may then be sent back to the originating website on each subsequent visit.

Cookies are useful because they allow a website to recognise a user’s device and track what the user does.

How do we use them?

D. J. Goode & Associates Ltd (DGA) use cookies in the following ways:

1. Site visitor statistics
DGA use Google Analytics as a tool to collect statistics of visitor activity on the site.  No personal information is collected and we have no way of knowing who the visitors are.  The data collected is used to help us improve the visitor experience on the site and to make the most sought after information more easily available to site visitors.

If you do not wish us to collect statistics of your visit, please adjust the cookie settings in your browser.   If you do not do this, we shall assume you are content with our use of cookies in this way. You need to decide the extent to which you wish to block cookies, as blocking them too effectively may (for example) prevent you being able to log in to any site requiring log-in or from completing online purchases.

DGA update emails

All our email newsletters contain an option to unsubscribe.  For those people who subscribe, we monitor the reading of the newsletter by means of cookie-like snippets.  In all our emails, we explain that we do this and ask those who are not happy with this monitoring to unsubscribe from our mailing list. We continue to monitor reading statistics for those subscribers who receive our emails and do not unsubscribe.
