Engineering Analyst
We are currently looking for an Engineering Analyst with experience of working with numerical modelling techniques to join us at our leading engineering consultancy based in Suffolk.

Requirements
- Degree in a suitable engineering field (e.g. civil, structural, or mechanical engineering).
- Two years’ minimum post-graduate experience.
- Experience in the use of the Finite Element (FE) method for explicit or implicit solutions.
- CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) knowledge/experience.
- Experience of dealing with non-linear transient dynamic calculations.
- Experience in handling non-linear material response.
- You must have been a permanent resident in the UK for the last five years (or be a UK national).
Desirable
- Knowledge of, or experience in, working within the construction industry.
- Knowledge / experience of blast / impact or other high strain-rate effects.
- Ability to work independently and also as part of a multi-disciplinary team both internally and with other professionals.
Technical
Preference is given to a candidate with experience in the following software:
- ANSYS Mechanical – Autodyn / LS-DYNA
- ANSYS Implicit solver – static / transient dynamics.
- Blastfoam / Viper::Blast / Air3D
- CAD Software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Autodesk Inventor, Solidworks, etc.
Salary
Commensurate with experience plus benefits including profit share and private healthcare.
We operate a training scheme to allow for progression onto Chartered engineer status, if this has not already been achieved by the applicant. Support is also given for PSE (Professional Simulation Engineer) accreditation.
The role will require you to be subject to appropriate background checks. Therefore, you must be willing to undergo these which would include criminal background and financial record checks.
The successful candidate would be expected to be hard working, self-motivated, own their own transport and able to relocate to within a commutable distance to our rural East-Anglian office (Suffolk – Sudbury location).
